Stanley Cup Final Odds 2018-19

The 2017-18 NHL season was one to remember. With the Washington Capitals winning their first Stanley Cup in franchise history, against first year franchise Vegas Golden Knights. Of course now that we are coming into the 2018-19 season, there are many who would hope to see the Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup finals this year. However, who has the greatest odds.

Oddsmaker Bodog clams that this year there are 8 teams who are favored to win the Stanley Cup. Which include the Golden Knights. These are the top five of those teams:

Toronto Maple Leafs  7/1

Despite not making the Playoffs since 2004. The Maple Leafs have signed veteran center John Tavares. Last year Tavares had 37 goals and 47 assists. Tavares scored 84 points in the whole season, making Tavares a Play Maker. Exactly what the Maple leafs need to get into the playoffs this season.

Tampa Bay Lightning  9/1

Tampa Bay made it to the playoffs last year, but were unable to make it all the way. However this year Tampa may have a chance to take it all the way.

Boston Bruins      19/2

Boston finished 4th overall in the 2017-18 season. However they reside in the same division as the aforementioned. They took down the Maple Leafs last season, but went down to Tampa Bay. However there is still some hope for the Bruins this year.

Nashville Predators     11/1

During the 2016-17 season the Predators took the Stanley Cup, but this last season they just didn’t make it. All though there is still a chance with having a goaltender bound for the Vezina Award. Pekka Rinne finished as one of the top goaltenders last year, which means only good things for the Predators. Having a goalie that can defend like no other will be essential to anyone who wants to win the stanley cup, fortunately for the Predators they already have it.

Vegas Golden Knights 11/1

I The expansion team that went to the Stanley Cup finals. What more can be said. Golden Knights proved themselves to be proficient this past season. As with any team theres things to be worked on, but for the Golden Knights it’s only up from here.

With all this in mind the 2018-19 season will be one you won’t want to miss.
