Black Knights Rundown (#4)

Coming off of a bye week the Black Knights took Levi Stadium by storm. They went against San Jose State in Levi Stadium hoping for a win, and achieved it. Army beat San Jose State 52-3. Coach Monken was said this about playing in Levi Stadium this past Saturday ¨Our team is thrilled to have the opportunity to compete in Levi’s Stadium for our match-up against San Jose State¨ And this definitely showed.

Army’s offense and defense both played lights out. The offense had over 390 total yards along with 6 touchdowns. QB Hopkins Jr. completed 2 of 5 passes for 54 yards and 1 touchdown. He also had 18 carries for 99 yards and 3 touchdowns. FBs Thomas and Woolfolk had 21 carries for 122 yards and 2 touchdowns. Army had 120 more rushing yards across 10 other Fullbacks. WR Asberry and Walker had 2 receptions for 54 yards and 1 touchdown. Overall this offense played like a well oiled machine, and the defense did the same. The Black Knight Defense recovered 4 fumbles. LB Nachtigal recovered one of those fumbles for a touchdown. Nachtigal also had 3 sacks and 3 tackles for loss. LB Brinson and DB Jones each had a sack as well. Giving the Black Knights 5 sacks while letting up 0. The Black Knights defense forced 1 field goal and 5 punts. Like I said before the Black Knight defense and Offense both played lights out.

This week Army goes head to head with the Miami Red Hawks (4-4). The Red Hawks won their last game against Kent State 31-6. The Miami defense shouldn’t be much to worry about for the Black Knights and their offense shouldn’t be either. This game will be a mere repeat of this past weekend. I predict this weeks game to be 48-0.
