Its time to bath in the forever glory, of the Rams beating the Cheifs 51-54. Normally I wouldn’t be okay with that close of a score, but since LA beat the only other team that could take them on, the other being the saints, I’m pretty happy. Through this game, it showed just how dominant of a Defensive line we have and that our offense is pretty much the best in the NFL.
The offense played phenomenal, with getting a touchdown on the starting drive of the game. Goff had an amazing night. He was slinging the ball around like it was nothing, along with even having a rushing touchdown. Goff completed 31of 49 passes for 413 yards and 4 touchdowns. Gurley however, did not have as good of a night. Only having 12 carries for 55 yards. Josh Reynolds had 8 receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown. Robert Woods had 4 receptions for 72 yards and a toucdown. Tight End Gerald Everett having 3 receptions for 49 yards and 2 touchdowns. One of wich was a 4th quarter touchdown with about a minute left of the game. The Rams had to punt 4 times with 3 of those getting inside the 20 yard line. Overall the offense played very well against a very tough defense.
Now the defense. I have to say after watching last nights game. I have restored faith in the Rams defense. Aaron Donald showed us what he was capable of. He had 2 sacks, wich were both strip sacks! One was picked up by Samson Ebukam for a touchdown, and the other was recovered by John Franklin-Meyers. Samson Ebukam also picked the ball off, and took it for six. Lemarcus Joyner and Marcus Peters also had picks. Overall last nights game showed us that the Rams defense is NOT just another defense, but a dominant one. It showed that our secondary is getting better, and that our defensive line is the best in the NFL.
This week is a bye week for the rams. Which will be good for them. It’ll give them some time to recover and prepare for the next few weeks. The Rams need to win out the rest of the season to gain a better chance of being 1st seed and having a 1st round bye. After seeing the schedule for the next few weeks that shouldnt be a problem.
