It’s the best Thanksgiving tradition of them all: Watching the Dallas Cowboys. America’s team on turkey day. Nothing better.
This happens to also be the biggest game of the year for Dallas and probably the biggest regular season game of the Dak Prescott era.
The Cowboys come into this game with a 5-5 record, 1 game worse then the Washington Redskins which means this game is for 1st place in the NFC East. With the Eagles faltering over the past couple of weeks and Redskins losing Alex Smith, the Cowboys are in the drivers seat in the division. This is the game that Dallas has to win. The game they should win. The game they cannot beat themselves and stay out of there own way, but also coach to win the game.
This could be a turning point for Dak Prescott’s career in Dallas as well. Prescott is way more talented then perennial backup Colt McCoy. Prescott has the better offensive line, running back, and even better receivers. Dallas’ defense is also better. It’s up to the QB (and the head coach) to bring this one home and take control of this division. A win puts Dak in perfect position for his 2nd division title in his 3 seasons. A loss will raise more questions about whether Jerry Jones should or shouldn’t give Dak the extension he will want.
I didn’t pick last week and the Cowboys won, so I’ll stick with that. But I will say I can’t wait for another edition of the best rivalry in the NFL on Thanksgiving Day. ✭ ✭ ✭
