3 NCAAT Appearances
160-89 Overall as the Razorback’s HC
PRO’S: He has never had a losing season in his 16 seasons as a head coach. After this year, he will have two first round picks in the last four years (Bobby Portis, Daniel Gafford). Incorporates a similar style to Razorback legend Nolan Richardson. Hogs have became a NCAAT regular the last four years. Has kept the program at a steady, competitive rate. Has always finished higher than where the SEC Media predicted.
CON’S: The biggest one, he has NEVER made it past the second round of the NCAAT. Struggles to keep elite talent in-state (Malik Monk, KeVaughn Allen). Seems to have a low ceiling. His style of play would have been more effective in the 90’s, due to the amount of fouls called that benefit the offense.
With all of this data, what side are you on?
The Hogs tip off conference play this Saturday in College Station, Texas at 5:00 PM. Texas A&M is a bad SEC team this year. Arkansas could not have gotten a much nicer opener. This is a MUST win if Coach Anderson has any hopes of sending this team dancing for the fourth time in the past five seasons.
