The dawgs have brought in back to back #1 recruiting classes according to rivals.com, so they currently are loaded with talent. Along with that they are returning 8 offensive starters, and 7 defensive starters, and you can’t forget about the superstar kicker Rodrigo Blankenship.
Georgia has had a long uphill battle this offseason with arrests of 5 players; most recently being Brenton Cox, and Robert Beal Jr. These are only 2 of not only arguably the most talented group of players on the team at OLB, but more importantly the deepest group of guys.
On the positive side, the dawgs are set to have the oh so electrifying D’andre Swift and Jake Fromm back for their junior campaigns, voted the #5 best duo in the country for the upcoming season according to Bleacher Report. To accompany the two is the largest offensive line in college football averaging around 6’5 335 lbs, give or take a few depending on which 5 are in out of the 7 guys rotating with the first group.
All of this lines up for a great upcoming season on paper, as the dawgs were also voted the #3 team most likely to go undefeated throughout the 2019 season the will prove to defeat one of the most vigorous schedules in the country. It all comes down to how they can execute when SEC play on August 31st roles around, So on April 20th the biggest things to look for,
- D’andre Swift to take a bigger load of carries. With the depth the dawgs have at RB, Kirby has made it a big concern to get him as many carries as possibly, and back him up with the electrifying James Cook, Brian Herrien and 5-Star back Zamir White
- Nolan Smith, the nation’s overall #1 recruit to make an immediate impact to the dawgs already stacked defensive line
- The connection between Jake Fromm and Receiver’s J.J. Holoman, and incoming 4-Star Dominique Baylock
- Who is in the rotation at Right Guard, there are many questions as which bohemith will be in the first group between Ben Cleveland (6’6 335), Cade Mays (6’6 320), or Jamaree Salyer (6’4 325)
